I say all of this to say I'm not sad or depressed or even feel like I'm down on my luck. I have tweaked my resume more times than I can count and have applied to thousands of jobs from November until now. I have reached out to mentors, old colleagues, recruiters and head hunters and have been disappointed at every turn. Since then I have pivoted to the restaurant industry working multiple jobs with over 60 hr weeks and it's still not enough to afford rent or stay in NYC period. I was laid off back in November and then laid off again in March after only having that position for a month. This will be the last post I make about this, but wanted to try one last time before I run out of options.
